“More than a sport” — it is a sports mentoring program for orphans
More than a sport, it is a sport mentoring program for orphans. It is aimed at the social adaptation of children through sports and the promotion of a healthy lifestyle.
In 2018, the program appeared as a joint initiative of Pristan and the Dobryaki amateur football club. At first, the guys took part only in football training and competitions. Today, the program includes training sessions in football, volleyball and fencing. The mentors of the children are amateur and professional athletes. They regularly hold sports tournaments, football matches, and organize friendly meetings with corporate teams of commercial companies.
During the year, more than 200 events are held in various social institutions of St. Petersburg within the framework of the program.
In 2019, the program manager developed another important area of work with adolescents - children from orphanages. This is a training course on sobriety on fingers about the dangers of using alcohol, drugs and psychotropic drugs. The course consists of ten meetings, at which children study the effect of psychotropic drugs on the body, looking for ways to stop using alcohol and drugs.
